Trip to Knowsley Safari Park
Friday, 18 May 2012 11:42
Children in Reception, Years 1, 2 and 3 had a wonderful time at Knowsley Safari Park this week. On the 'Safari Tour' they saw a huge array of animals including buffalo, baboons, lions and reindeer. The weather was warm enough for the children to enjoy their packed lunches outside before they all went back indoors to watch a spectacular sea lion show. Our pupils were delighted to see what clever tricks the sea lions were able to perform. In 'Safari School' our pupils learned to be junior zoologists and were introduced to vertebrates and invertebrates of the animal kingdom. They had first hand experience of touching and stroking a number of different species before sterlising their own hands with the 'magic lotion'. The trip also included visits to the bug and giraffe houses, as well as a look at the antics of the mere cats. It was a great day and our thanks to the children for behaving impeccably and to Mrs Hodgson and Mrs Lee who helped make the trip so successful. Add new comment
