We are delighted to announce that The Mount have been awarded their Green Flag as part of the Eco-Schools bid that we started last year.  We are one of the only local schools that have been awarded full status because of the work we have contributed.  

These were some of the comments that the assessors made about the school and pupils:

"The children are a real delight - a real credit to the school.  They are very wel informed, wonderfully articulate, and very enthusiastic about their Eco-schools work."

"They have made the very best of the facilities they have."

"There is a lot of potential here to do even more exciting things in the future and the willingness to embrace new ideas."

"What is available has been used to very good effect.  just a lively, calm sense of common purpose.  Really impressive.  A lovely environment in which to work."

By way of thanking Mr Withell who has contributed so much to the manual side of the bid for green school status, he was presented with a gift in our Star of the Week Assembly.  Many thanks go to him for all his hard work and contributions.
