The Cricket Team retained the Christian Brothers' Trophy for the fourth consecutive year - but what a close call!  The game against St Anselm's resulted in a 11 run win and then St Edward's went on to beat St Anselm's by 48 runs in the second game.  This meant we had to beat St Edward's in the final which seemed a large task after watching their victory over St Anselm's, with an excellent batting performance.

We were put into bat but gave an average performance leaving us with what seemed a miracle to win.  Our team was the youngest in the tournament and although they all performed tremendously well with their bowling and fielding, it was two catches from Cameron and Adam that turned the game around.  This produced a nail biting finish with team captain Harry having to bowl the last ball of the game and not concede 6 runs.  He held his nerve to produce a thrilling victory for St Mary's.  Well done boys!
